Re: [iPad] ]OT OS X Mountain Lion

I just checked playing a DVD on my iMac running Mountain Lion & the DVD Player works just like it did previous to the installation.  Mine begin play back when I insert the DVD into the drive.  Have you tested your optical drive with other discs?

I upgraded all of my computers, save one,  of the other day. I think  mountain lion is very good and pretty rock solid. I only have one issue it's a major to me of course Mountain lion no longer plays DVDs. DVD player does not work. I think it's meant not to work. To play a DVD you have to run another program like VLC. That's a major pain for me because a couple of my computers are only used to play movies so I'm going to have to try to find a program that will play a DVD or DVD media without needing to drag the file to the VLC window. I really want the DVD to play as soon as it's put in the computer or as soon as I click on the DVD media file.

By the way I think Mountain lion
Is supposed to have dictation.  Maybe that's like the microphone that we use on our iPads.  That's such a great feature.

Yes, all your computers for $20, quite a deal.
