Why not?
You'll have them on either more SD cards or on the netbook/laptop & it's
pretty easy to transfer files/photos from either of those.

In that case I cannot copy them back to my PC after a trip.
Solution is:
1. Take a netbook/laptop for the photo copying from camera
2. Buy extra SD cards

Import photos go to an album, not the camera roll.
