I have an iPad1. No camera. No "Camera Roll".
On mine CCK imports to albums.
When I open the Photos App, I have 4 headings in the top middle: Photos, Albums, Events, and Places.
"Photos" is everything on the iPad
"Albums" displays multiple albums created by the way I imported pictures from my computer.
"Events" displays multiple albums created when I used the CCK to import from a camera card.
