Since iOS5 my 3G iPad2 now does not show the cell number. Then I get every iMessage on my iPhone 4S to my iPad2. I realised now, the iPad2 is getting iMessages via the email address assigned to it in Settings, and this is my Apple ID address, same as is on the 4S. So, I altered the email address on the iPad2 that is used for messages, and now each is seperate.
SETTNGS - MESSAGES - RECIEVE AT
Hope this helps
Cheers
