In addition to the basic helpfulness of being able to use the native
iOS interface, the eBay Marketplace app adds some conveniences like
allowing you to set iPhone and SMS alerts, integration with other apps
(facebook, paypal, barcode scanner), etc. It's free so no harm giving
it a try, it won't mess up your use of the web site in any way. There
are also some specialized apps for fashion and cars and things like
Red Laser for price comparisons and StubHub for tickets (these are
also eBay companies)
