Re: [iPad] Designing for an audio web — I. M. H. O. — Medium

To remind myself about this, I just now downloaded a 96000 Hz / 24 bit copy of Bob Dylan's "Oh Mercy" album from hdtracks and compared it with the 44100 Hz / 16 bit CD that was already on the music server.

Enormous difference.

Unfortunately, you lose that difference over wifi.  Has to be wired source to amplifier.

But try it.  Even with mediocre or lousy amplifier, cabling, and speakers, you'll hear it.

You are 100% correct!

I have about 300+ reel-to-reel tapes, and two players.
When people they can't believe the different compare to CD and downloads from iTune!

New is not always better, it's just newer!
