I thought the notes were saved on the iPad. What's with a mail account? I don't have a iPhone, only a iPad Air and the new retina iPad Mini. All my notes that I made in IOS 6 disappeared after I got IOS 7 and the new notes I made in IOS 7 are also gone. I stopped using this app when I discovered that it wouldn't save new notes either.

This was too much trouble, though. You can use a web browser to go to the site to where your notes are synched and find a directory called Notes to retrieve any notes that disappeared from your device. The directory won't appear in the Mail version of that acct.Someone previously drew my attention to a thread that pointed out that it is indeed Yahoo that mostly causes this problem during synching. However, a few people mentioned that it happened with their gmail accts. No one had seemed to experience the problem using iCloud to synch, so I've changed to doing that for new notes. I haven't been doing it long enough to know for sure if the problem has been solved, but I'm hopeful. Notes is something I use a lot.
billMy husband had a problem with Notes disappearing, so he called AppleCare. Apparently it he had notes attached to Yahoo. Get them out of Yahoo and put them in the cloud. Gmail is fine, also. Not Yahoo.
