Yup that's what I have been thinking too. I might just as well delete everything and go back to square one and reload until I get a hiccup. Or, I might just sell it to the folks that buy old pads and phone and get me and my wife new ones.
Thank you for your response. If I get a solution I will post it on the group.

How old is this issue?
Could it coincide with a past app install?
Can you remove all apps in the multi taskinmg bar and see how it goes then (in case of an app conflict)

I'm afraid it's probably time to say goodbye to your iPad 1.

I have a first generation iPad 1,1 with iOS 5.1.1 and when I open Safari or Chrome to a video like Ustream video, more often than not it dies and goes back to my main screen. I can start it again and it may or may not open and run the video. I can usually get the video to run on the second or third try. I have about 50 gig of memory open and no other apps open.
Its probably a memory issue but I don't know how to free any more memory.
Does anyone have an idea on how to cure this annoying issue?
Thanks,
Ken
