Re: [iPad] Safari Dies

I agree that short of bidding farewell to the old iPad your best bet may be to wipe it and give it a fresh start.  That's been useful for me.

Thanks for your reply,

Yes I have done a reset several times and I have also closed all open applications.  It is surely a memory issue but just cannot figure out what to do.  I would like to delete and reload Safari but not really sure how to go about that without professional help.

Have you tried a restart or reset (reboot)?

I have a first generation iPad 1,1 with iOS 5.1.1 and when I open Safari or Chrome to a video like Ustream video, more often than not it dies and goes back to my main screen. I can start it again and it may or may not open and run the video. I can usually get the video to run on the second or third try.  I have about 50 gig of memory open and no other apps open.

Its probably a memory issue but I don't know how to free any more memory.

Does anyone have an idea on how to cure this annoying issue?

Thanks,

Ken
