FYI for iPad users using Windows
NOTE
1. Remove iTunes and related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.

I had this last night, there is only one fix.
Backup iTunes folder as a precaution
Uninstall Apple everything,
Restart PC
Download and install iTunes to the same location
It will be fine, error fixed and libraries etc etc untouched
I will do mine tonight, and read Brents reply too I will ask what the correct uninstall order is

I just got a message: MSVCR80.dll is missing when I upgraded to the new Itunes. It is telling me to reinstall Itunes. I have no idea how to do this and would appreciate anyone's advice. Thanks in advance
