Looks as tho you've got at least two mail addresses - this one, bellsouth, and gmail. Do you want to keep both?
I've never had a Kindle, but a friend does, and she much prefers it to the iPad. As I understand the situation, the iPad is much too responsive for her slightly diabetes-hobbled motor control. The Kindle, I guess, sort of has to be punched, not just touched or tapped. Don't know which model she has. Can ask, if you like.
If you've got tons of mail to get rid of, that's probably best done with the webmail interface you get when you log into your mail thru your web browser. That way, you can delete it in page-size batches. Deleting thousands of messages one at a time on an iPad could be a royal pain.
If you need a bare-bones word processor on the iPad, Pages is fine. No doubt there are lots of others. Don't know what's available on the Kindle.
The Kindle Paperwhite has got good reviews. If you want just a book reader that could be a fine solution.
The iPad mini doesn't have a Retina screen yet. Next model probably will. Maybe August, September.
What does O'Conchubair mean? Sounds Gaelic.
I bought a Kindle 1st gen. I wanted to be able to download and read my
email on my computer then use the Kindle to type responses. I set up gmail
which immediately downloaded more than 16000 emails. Where they all came
from, I have no idea. Plus, I could barely read anything. So, I put it
away. Later, I purchased an iPad.
I have the iPad set up to be able to respond to both email addresses. I
would like to have a word processor. Is there a good one? I do not need
anything fancy. Being so crippled with RA and Fibromyalgia, I have a hard
time lifting and holding it. If the mini iPad comes with retina I will most
likely buy one.
Now, I have loads of books which are difficult for me to handle so I had
thought the Kindle would be an ereader...not. So, as a Prime member, do I
buy the Paperwhte or the Kobo ? I am in a quandary.
What options do I have, if any, for this Kindle?
I appreciate your helpful suggestions.
