Another alternative to clean the home button......My Ipad 2 home buttong started sticking a few weeks ago. I fixed it by doing this: The small eyeglass cleaning packets you buy at the drugstore work pefectly in cleaning the buttons side walls.....make sure though, that the paper cloth is not super wet, it only needs to be moist, not dripping with cleanine solution....you don't want any solution dripping down the sides of the home button into the Ipad.
Take the tip of a ballpoint pen, or some other similar object with a similar sized point. Fold over the lens cloth 2 3 times, so it's a bit thicker, and lay it ove the button...take your ballpoint pen and put the button down all the way, with the paper under the ballpoint pen tip,,,,,,when it's down all the way, keep pressing down and go around the inside exposed walls of the home button with the pen....the lens cleaning paper will clean the walls of the home button of any residue, so that the button is free again...that was my problem, there was dirt etc on the inside walls of the home button, causing it to be sluggish which would also stick sometimes. The button now feels correct when depressed, and works pefectly. Problem solved!

Good Sunday to all fellow group members. I have an iPad problem and am hoping someone can help me. The home button on my iPad 2 has stopped working. I have to hit it at least 10 times to finally get myself out of an app or onto my home page. It happens all the time and almost started over night. I might have had a problem every now and then before but last night it started to happen every time I use it. It is almost useless for me right now because I can't get out of apps. I have tried closing all apps and doing a soft reset and neither worked. Does anyone have any idea why this would have happened or how I can fix it? Thanks for the help!!
