be glad you don't live in a country where the access model for the
internet has always (and still is) metered usage, where you pay for
every minute you're online. Great for someone who only spends 5 minutes
a day downloading e-mail messages and reading them offline and doing
nothing else, but horrible for anybody who spends hours online each day.
There are great benefits to living in a rural community -- great and
affordable internet access, however, isn't one of them.
