That's the repeat-play graphic, no?  No-repeat / repeat-all / repeat-one-track.  Don't think that would cause itunes to stop at album end.  As a matter of fact, I did try that yesterday, with the repeat-all setting, and it seemed to have no effect - the album I wanted to play finished and play continued down through the next album on the list.

At the top of the screen there is a progress bar. On the left side of that there are two arrows going in a circle that you need to tap. There are three different settings and I forget which one you want but just try all three and you'll find the right one.
