1. MAC = "Media Access Control"
Apple computers = "Macintosh" or "Mac"
2. I presume if you want wireless access to a printer that you already have a Wifi router (e.g., Apple Airport). I found it simpler to plug printers into the Airport (by USB or by Ethernet), and connect to them wirelessly by simply letting the computer(s) talk to the router.
