Maybe this from an Apple Support Group will help:

If you do not have the menu bar displaying type CNTRL+B to display it.  Then Select File > Add Folder to Library.

That "add folder" option is not gone -- you simply have to turn on the
menus.  I know I did it but can't remember how.  Probably right-clicking
opens up a menu that has that option.

All I know is that it's possible to show the older menu structure, which
includes the "Add Folder" option -- I know because I just did it a
couple of weeks ago.
