A friend was affected by a Yahoo XSS scripting hack here in NZ. The telco support tried to help her fix her email as telco locked passwords. But he got her to remove ( I think) the account and recreate.
Now I am unsure how her email was setup as regards leave at server, but there is no email at the server. (I work at the telco so I checked this with the Yahoo tools) Email is xtra.co.nz but we partner with Yahoo, so it is exactly as a Yahoo email would be.
In Apple Mail she says that all of her emails are there, but it is only headers, she cannot select and see the email. I asked if she has Time Machine, but no, she is a basic user. Is there anywhere in Mac OS that the emails may be, perhaps in a backup file or elsewhere?
She is out of town so I am trying to help, and while I can email support her, the emails are not with Yahoo, I hope they may be somewhere on the iMac
