Thanks Huckleberry Ed!
For the record, there is a period at the end of the URL below that will prevent the link from coming up. If you simply delete the period and make sure there is nothing there but a space, it works.

Subject: [iPad] Slightly OT: Free Windows 8 for Dummies book
CNET.com is providing a free copy of Windows 8 for Dummies.
You can download the book here: http://media.wiley.com/assets/7077/60/9781118554951_custom.pdf. If you have a tablet or smartphone, you can just download the book to your device by clicking the link (I have already done so). Or you can print it up at home.
If you have purchased a Windows 8 computer or tablet, or are upgrading your operating system to Windows 8 (or thinking about it), this book will be of immense help.
Windows 8 has a very different look and feel to it and figuring out where things are is not always straightforward.
I downloaded copies on my iPad into Goodreader and iBooks (why both? I like to compare my reading experiences on both platforms so I know what I prefer to use in the future for .pdfs)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
