Re: [iPad] Kindle Paperwhite shipping

Maybe the light in Best Buy was of that "indeterminate" sort.  Unfortunately, there was no way to move the device to a differently lighted area.  How do you change text size?  The only menu icon I saw that didn't change brightness was the four-horizontal-lines box that led to a context-dependent list of options, none of which were to change screen settings.

The form factor is nice, but the letters seemed washed out and there was no obvious way to change type size. And, of course, it was b&w. And it cost a little more than a hundred dollars. I'm tempted by the idea of buying a reader just to see what the attraction may be, but I've not yet come across one that combines UI and screen to elicit that "very nice" response we always hope for.

1. It is trivially easy to change font size.

2. Most of the text I read is black and white.

3. I wish that the text I read that is NOT black and white WERE black and white.

4. In bright or dim light, screen legibility is excellent. There is an area of intermediate ambient brightness where screen legibility is less than optimal.
