i think easy is "pick up the app for the first time and do a good job at something without training".
removing a watermark embedded in a JPG with digital artifacts galore to deal with is NOT that definition of easy; for an experienced person perhaps, but i've seen some good watermarks in my day.
thats just my opinion. maybe the average joe picking up elements or straight-out photoshop for the first time has mastery of the magic wand, masking, layer blends and all the things that can come into play when hiding a decent water mark well, especially hiding it from the type of person that can intuitively pick up a behemoth of an app that photoshop has become in the last couple decades.
but again thats just my opinion. i havent read usability studies of photoshop, so i dont have a usability opinion to share, ive just used it since 95; and maybe that clouds my understanding at how easy photoshop has become to pick up.
