NEVERMIND, Patricia ! I finally figured it out. I guess I have just not been keeping up with developments….. apparently the release of the iPad Mini overshadowed the updates for their Retina display model.

I am confused. I recall the successor to the iPad2… it has Retina display and the A6 chip. I see no difference to what you are calling the iPad4. ????

The iPad4 (or new retina iPad) replaced the iPad3 with the upgrades I mentioned in an earlier post. The Mini has the A5 chip & the 4 has the A6 chip. They were announced on the same day.
