Re: [iPad] Reading books on the iPad versus the Kindle?

I have neck trouble too so I need to hold it closer because bending my neck to read with the reader on a pillow causes pain in my neck and arm, so once again, one size does not fit all.

you put the book on a pillow that's in your lap...there's never a reason you have to "hold" a book or an ipad in the air, whether in a car, in bed or riding in a car...thus the copious discussion about how much ipads weigh versus kindles versus other devices is unnecessary...

Bullshit, if you will pardon my French.

You may be shaped differently than me, but laying an iPad or Kindle on a pillow in my lap, while in my LaZBoy, the screen will not be pointing anywhere near my face.

Please do not make broad generalizations (like "there's never a reason you have to "hold" a book or an ipad in the air") when there have already been several people stating that they do, in fact HOLD these devices while reading.
