If you use "Dropbox" (a free app) you can bulk copy them to it and they will appear in bulk on your iPAD in the dropbox from where they can be transferred elsewhere on the iPAD if you wish

I have 514 pdf files that total 17gb that I would like to move to my 64gb iPad 1.

I have tried the drag and drop routine to transfer them to ibooks, but I find that I can only do a few at a time.

Is there a workable way I can do this as a "bulk" transfer ?

Any input or advice will be appreciated..
