Their ultimate solution is to reinstall the OS.
Which may not be a horrible idea

Wi-fi is on and my network is checked in settings and airplane mode is off. I checked those settings first. I guess I'll have to call Apple or go to the Apple store, but it will be a madhouse at this time of year.

Did Wifi somehow get turned off in Settings? Or Airplane Mode turned on?

For some reason the wi-fi on my my iPad2 is not working today. As far as I can tell, everything is set up correctly but the wi-fi  icon is not showing on the iPad and when I try to access the internet I get a message that it cannot connect to the internet. My wi-fi is working because I'm able to get online with the Touch and my computer. I reset the iPad by holding down both buttons until the red slider bar appeared and Apple logo came up but the wi-fi still won't  connect. I tried putting in my password again too. Any other suggestions?
