[iPad] Re: $399

The iPhone 5C was not a great phone. In fact, Apple damaged its own reputation with the iPhone 5C because it was perceived by consumers as a "cheap" phone, made of plastic, while predecessor models were usually available at the lower price, after Apple would introduce a new phone in the market.

They were earlier selling the iPhone 5, which felt brilliant in the palm with its natural Aluminium and glass materials. I still have my black iPhone 5, which I prefer to use to make calls rather than hold up the phablet sized 6 Plus to my ear. I also have a Nexus 5, which I think is a little too large as well, which I bought a month buying the iPhone 5S. The 5S is now in the family, but I like the black colour of the iPhone 5, and I think the iPhone SE will be really good, because it packs the A9/M9 processors, same as the iPhone 6S.

The iPhone 5C on the other hand had similar configurations as the iPhone 5 and was actually an entire generation behind the iPhone 5S when it came to processing power. The only updates it had were the LTE carriers, which the iPhone 5 did not support. I get only 3G on my iPhone 5 in India and no LTE.

I have a feeling the iPhone SE is going to be a hit. In contrast to the success of the iPhone 5C.
