I know this isn't necessarily what this group is for, however, it has been discussed recently. My husband and I 80 and 83 and are just trying to stream and have started our free month of Netflix. We are both hard of hearing so use close captioning. We are streaming through a Blu-ray player (Samsung and Samsung TV) and the captioning has trouble keeping up with the speaking and sometimes drops off completely. Netflix walked me through a re-boot and it is some better, but I'm wondering if a different streaming device would handle CC better ... perhaps Roku or Apple.Does anyone have any experience along this line that could be of any help? Sure would appreciate it. We have a dual band NetGear router and our Comcast speed is download 33.91 Mbps, upload 5.74 Mbps, if that helps. Thanks ........Also, is the captioning already there on the video or movie and the streaming device grabs it, or ??? Not sure where it comes from for sure.Jan
