Wireless Internet Access and Wi-If are available fleetwide. You may access the Internet using your own personal laptop computer. You may use your laptops in any of the public rooms or in the comfort of your cabin. Full web browsing is available through the Computer systems (laptops, Internet cafe, and Business center PC's) provided onboard most ships.
In general, Internet speed will not be as fast as a high speed connection that is available on land. This is due to the data being transmitted through the satellite connection.
To use our wireless Internet service, you will need:
A laptop with wireless networking installed and working, able to communicate using the 802.11b wireless standard (note that most 802.11 "a" and "g" cards will support the "b" service). Also, for those using an iPad, smartphone, or other e-readers with Internet connectivity, you can connect on our Wi-If Network. The pricing structure for this is the same as the standard Wi-If pricing.
Internet time plans may be used interchangeably between public Internet Cafe computers or personal laptop computers using Wireless Internet.
Smart Phones
Passengers that have smart phones with Internet access will still have to purchase Internet packages. It will depend on passenger's cell phone carrier if they are going to get service and they should consult their carrier for long distance and international charges.
