Yes! Mine have disappeared as well and I am not happy about that. I tried a few more experiments and those disappeared also. I found another notes app that looks promising. N+OTES. So far I only have the free app. There are a lot of in-app purchases available and I haven't decided yet which one I want. I really liked the yellow lines on the original Notes app and would like to find one like that and I'm still looking..

Wrote a note to myself on my iPad Air last week. Yesterday, the note was still there. Today it's not. Does anyone have trouble w notes disappearing in iOS 7?
