Thanks so much Pat. My iMac is not seeing my mini come to think of it. I bet the box isn't checked to sync over wi-fi. I'll check that now.
Does her Mac see the iPad when it is connected via the USB cable? If not, I would call Apple Support (800-275-2273) since the iPad is new & eligible for free support.
