Re: [iPad] Re: Editorial: Can Apple survive 2013?

I agree, Tony.  Does this say that working harder to get apps in the Apple App Store makes those developers take more pride in their work and they want to do do a good job vs Android developers just want their apps in the Play Store just to say they did it?

I don't understand anything about coding or app development but I'd like to think that if I was a developer I'd want my app to look and feel and work as best I can so I wouldn't get a lot of complaints.  It's just me but I don't like bad things said about me or the things I do.  I think it's also that I was raised to take pride in my work.

Apple vets the apps and they have to confirm to certain standards, so you get consistency iof programming rules, etc, as well as malware free and less bugs

I believe Googles does 'some" checks, but overall its what the devs do. They need to have more checks and balances, and work on the fragmentation issue

Maybe Android might want to take note of what Apple people are saying about Android and work on it.  I had a Nexus 7. Loved the device. Disliked the Android operating system. The Play Store reminded me of the Cydia store with unfinished or hurried looking apps in it. I know that's not Googles fault.  It's the app developers fault. It makes me think Android App developers don't take as much pride in their development and look of their apps as Apple developers do.  Or is it that because Apple has stricter rules, app developers have to work that much harder to get their apps into the Apple App Store?

Apple takes longer to update their OS but when they do, it's good for all their devices, unless its specifically a fix for one of them. Also, Apple doesn't allow phone companies to put their front ends on iPhones and iPads.  We use the native operating system.

I'm not saying one operating system is better than the other. Some like iOS while others like Android.  Then there are those that like inexpensive, no matter what phone it is.

I bought an Android tablet and hated it so much that I gave it away. The only thing worse is Windows.
