Its a hard choice. I know many geeks, like me, who use Android, as it does more, which is a fact, and many geeks, who use iOS as it does less, but does it more stabily, and more app friendly as in quality/malware. iOS does lend itself to more use as compared to more tinkering.
BUT , giventhe higher cost, iOS will have more serious users. Android includes all manner of consumers given the options for cheap phones, and those users wont consume much. Only real test is to compare the S4 and iPhone 5 users, IMO

I seem to recall reading that iPhone users typically use more data than Android users. That suggests that iPhone users are probably more tech savvy
