The MacBook Pro, like all computers these days, are "long in the tooth"
in that they are all evolutionary instead of revolutionary. The whole
industry has matured to the point that what is happening is little
things like an improved display, a slightly faster processor, better
multi-threading with multiple cores, etc.
Just like automobiles -- nothing is truly revolutionary about them these
days. Heck, even electric cars run on fossil fuels or more abhorent
nuclear technology -- it's just that the fossil fuels or nuclear
technology is many miles from the car. But it's still the source. And
hydrogen cell vehicles will be a long time in coming to market.
Yet we don't go around bemoaning cars as being "long in the tooth" -- we
welcome the little advances which are the signs of a mature industry,
like rear-view cameras, bluetooth built into the car for truly
hands-free phone use, heated seats, power-adjustable seats, sun roof,
whatever. Nothing truly revolutionary has happened to cars since fuel
injection took over from carburetors.
