Ah ok, I got that bit.. And that Apple decides what we want before we want it. Thats cool too. My point is that little has changed in iOS functionality, but smartphone use has changed. There are many functions in Android that make it more user friendly and convenient to use, I see these as basic usability functions that are missing from Apple, hence I don't see that as being the best they can be. Especially as they are defined by being intuitive, easy to use. Many functions in Android are easier to use these days. I must get a URL for examples.

Don't follow he the best you can be and ignore what others think? Nope sorry. Ima ignore what ppl say and be the best I can be following my own path much as apple has always beat to the tune of its own drummer. Ignoring what consumers want. Instead pole tells consumers what apple thinks the need before they now the need it and they end up wanting it that is great but I hope they continue not to listen to eat consumer want. And instead continue to do what they feel is best

Don't follow that KrisI want apple to be the best they can be. The majority (phone buying customers) want that too. They also want a small choice of screen size and to catch up on missing base features . That's not a lot to ask at all. And it would have no effect on apples standards or what they stand for which will still be intact
Sent from my iPhone 5 Dear apple. Ignore the majority. Continue to make the best and ignore what they say. Like my mom said in school. Be the best that you can be. Ignite the jealous losers.~KLM\\01001100 01001111 01001100//Apple does have a reputation for sure. I feel they should try to appeal to the market, currently they don't, they forego the market for phones that are larger, a mistake. Why? They lose sales for the 4.8 market and more so the App Store revenue. Many like larger so make it. Already done with two iPad form factors . That isn't muddying the waters.
They need to keep pace with hardware and they do generally . Don't look at specs, look at performanceGimmicky features are a waste, pointing finger at Samsung but many user friendly and base features are missing making operation of some functions klunky in iOS . That is easily fixed or I can jailbreak but that's not a solution . Add a large screen version, SORTED!David, no I don't want gimmicks or the mess that android is or cheap crud iPhones. Choice of screen size and a user friendly UI which is often the case but some things are a pain compared to androids UI operability
Sent from my iPhone 5 I think Apple already has a high-quality reputation. Maybe they can stay where they are, just profitable enough to keep doing iPad-level work, without muddying the water and losing their way trying to appeal to everyone. The price premium should help - but it's got to be perceived as worth the inconvenience. Their operating systems have to be bullet proof and their user interfaces need to be transparent, fast, minimal, intuitive, interoperable, and esthetically pleasing. They'll probably never lead the list in hardware or gimmicks, but those are elements of a fool's game. But here's to hoping they go back to niche-dom
Sent from my iPadI'm not sure I see Apple phones or tablets as niche. Not anymore. They are one of the 3 main platforms. Macs are still niche I feel, a low market share but entrenched in teh market

Peculiar definition of "niche".
Did you get that from Steve "Uncle Fester" Ballmer?

It's not?
