[iPad] Re: GPS on iPad4

 

Hi Lin:
I have 2 iPads that are wifi only. My iPhone is through AT&T and grandfathered to unlimited wifi access which I didn't want to lose. So I bought a MiFi, which gives me my own wifi connection anywhere (at least anywhere that there is AT&T). So far, it has been wonderful! It can simultaneously do up to 10 electronic devices at a time -- and we have set all our laptops, iPads and iPhones to accept it. It costs me $35 a month on my AT&T bill, but it's worth it. I could have tied my iPads to my iPhone, but then I would have lost my unlimited wifi on the phone.

UNFORTUNATELY... it appears that I do not have a GPS chip in my wifi only
version iPad4. Any thoughts on external devices, anyone have an experience
here? Thanks in advance for any help.. (not a happy camper right now).
