He should check out ArtRage. It has many different modes such as oils, watercolor, pastels etc. and is deeply customizable. You can save and export works to be further processed. I love it.

Hi - I have a neighbor who is a professional portrait painter and he has asked me if there are any great iPad 4 apps that he could use if he bought an ipad.
I told him I would ask.
He knows the max is like 2048x2048 pixels and that's fine.
He is a Photoshop user and wants to be able to transfer iPad output into his PC for further processing presumably via .jpg
Is the iPad capable yet of being of value to a professional painter?
Which apps would you recommend he take a close look at. Looks like there are painting apps and paper apps. All suggestions appreciated. Thanks!
