Are you connected to a USB socket that supplies a full 10 watts? Since it trickle charges it almost sounds like you're connected to a port (socket) that only supplies 5 watts.

Last week, all of a sudden, it does not recognize anything plugged in to it's charge/data port. In other words, it does not take a charge, or interface to a PC any longer. It's almost like the connector on the iPad quit working. I have confirmed the cable that I was using is good, and there has been no physical damage to the iPad. I have performed a complete reset on the unit with no change. Something interesting is it will take a "trickle charge", even though it never shows it's charging. For instance, if it is left plugged in over night, the battery percentage will raise about 10%.
