No one mentioned retailers.  Is it best to buy directly from Apple?

You cannot save *much* by buying from others.
You CAN get MUCH worse service at the sale and the subsequent support.

Apple is recognized as one of the best-liked quality of care (care of the products and care of the customers) companies in the world.
