Most likely, you wil download it from itunes when it asks you if you want to update. Not sure it wil be automatic. OTA updates are possible; it is something Apple says will/might happen.
I am not sure the update wil do me any good at this point. I do not update unless there is a good reason to do so and until iOS 5 drops, nobody knows. Just lots of guesses and assumptions.
