I have a nice desktop computer connected to nice speakers, which I use when I'm at home. I also have a laptop computer that I use when I'm at my elderly parents' home and caring for them, which is about half the time, and since I work from dictation, my father kindly keeps some decent speakers for me to hook up to there. However, I don't have internet there. I don't understand why it's made so difficult to keep the two computers synchronized. I have a legitimate iTunes account, I've legitimately purchased all this music, and there is no reason in the world why I shouldn't have them on both laptops or why I shouldn't be able to sync my iPad with both my computers.

I *do* only sync my devices with my iMac, but can get app updates etc on Wifi anyway. Probably more work than what folks want but it really saves me a headache.
Additionally, I would say that I have worked with few, if any, programs that are *easier* to keep in sync between my 2 computers (laptop and desktop). I activate "Home Sharing" on both, and — since disk space is NOT at a premium — import/sync the actual fiels between the computers (from within iTunes/Home Sharing).
