| I agree with the people who advised you to get the 64 GB (Wifi + 3G) because it is worth the extra expense. If you are like me, you will find yourself using your iPad for more and more things in your daily life. It also replaces many other devices such as calculating machines, MP3 player, game devices of all kinds, portable TV, radio, laptop, photo viewer/frame, book reader, and I'm sure there are a lot more, but you see what I mean! You will be glad to have enough memory for all these things. And while other devices often run into problems or even crash, I have so far never once been let down by my iPad. (I had the first generation one, now I have the iPad2). I was a bit skeptical about the smart cover, partly because I wondered what would keep the aluminum back from getting scratched or scuffed. When I take my iPad with me I usually have it in a Dicota bag or an iPad sleeve case. I have never had it happen that the smart cover opened by accident, and it is really handy to have the unit turn off when the cover is closed and turn on when the cover is opened. It is also handy to be able to use the cover in place of a stand, and it works quite well although you might want to get a separate stand if you want different angles. As to color, I also like blue and got the blue cover. When I was sure I liked the way it worked, I went back and got a black one. I also want a red one (yes, it does look smashing on the black iPad!). Although rather pricey, it's kind of fun to change colors now and then. Since you can whip them off and replace them in just seconds, it is no hassle at all. LOL No, I don't think you are nuts, I think you have done your "market research" well and will not be disappointed with your purchase. Now to your other questions: When you use the smart cover, you can put a protection sheet on the display, but you can't use anything (that I have seen) that will protect the back of the device while using it. You could, however, apply a skin if you wanted. I am very satisfied with my smart covers and think they are well thought out and clever accessories for the iPad. You already got a good answer about where to buy your iPad. If you will be wanting to display your photos on your iPad, you might want to get a camera connection kit so you can transfer them via SD card or camera (with USB Cable). Good luck! Hope you soon have your iPad and love it as much as I do mine. Sorry my answer was so long. Carlee -------Originalmeldung------- Hi, |
