I have enough experience with the "bleeding edge", I figured I would wait a while for the iOs upgrade. Well, I was up at 2 am this morning so that I could do the download (too big for any other time of day.)
The download went okay. When I went ahead with the upgrade, it failed with an "unknown error". Okay, let it restore.
During the restore, after about a half hour, progress stopped. I gave it another half hour. iTunes had the beech ball and Activity Monitor showed that iTunes was not responding. I finally force quit iTunes.
I had to shut it down with the dual button power down. Now, during a cold boot, the iPad stalls during boot with the progress bar at half way. iTunes does not recognize that the iPad is connected.
Now I have a locked up, useless iPad. I should have left well enough alone :-(
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ken
