No way would I use any of these "near field" systems.
#1 - I do not trust that someone cannot intercept and copy the signal.
#2 - If you lose your iPhone/iPod or it gets stolen, how much money can someone else rack up on your account? Or someone hacks the system. Credit cards have protection with them.
Recently there have been warnings about scammers using readers to read the RFIS chips on credit cards which have them. This sounds a lot scarier.
These "near field" devices have not caught on for good reason, IMO.
