Here are some refurbished from Apple that come with the usual warranty and are eligible for Apple Care.  I've purchased several returns over the years with complete satisfaction.

There are rumors about an iPad Air 3 due to be presented at a March event. I don't think that you can order one anywhere yet.  Besides, a reduced-price iPad Air 2 might fulfil your needs as well. Or even an older or smaller device, maybe refurbished - depending on your needs and budget.

Thank you for this!  A couple days ago I did a preliminary search of "rumors" and found a couple references to a possible iPad Air 3 coming out early this year.  I was on the verge of ordering yesterday, but have decided to wait a few months to see what happens with a possible new release.  Thanks again!
