A solution that I have found useful is to purchase an external battery that I carry when I am traveling and which keeps all my Apple devices charged. They can be found at Amazon - I purchased Intocircuit 15000 mAh 4.8A Dual USB Portable Charger External Battery Pack with SmartID Technology that had a $22 promotional discount from the $40 price. Look for discounts for similar items at CNET. I have more than one battery charger so that I am always fully charged and do not have to worry about battery replacement.
