I think hard disks are disappearing, except as infrastructure in the cloud. They're artificially constricting, vulnerable to damage and destruction, in need of time-wasting tending, and bulky. The idea is insensibly taking root in our minds that knowledge is not bounded by the capacities of physical objects. Legal knowledge will continue, of necessity, to be limited by formulas, but perhaps we will eventually learn to construct programs capable of extracting it from the cloud of unorganized data we amass as we move through life.
