Have you set your iPhone to FORGET your wiFi network, then rebooted…and set up your local WiFi all over again?

Subject: Re: [iPad] Wifi not working...
I'm having the same problem with my iPhone. The iPads, my Kindle, and my husband's iPhone and iPad have no trouble whatsoever with our WiFi connection, but my iPhone 5, even after asking for (and getting!) the password, just won't connect to our router or extender. It says, Unable to Connect. Dismiss. I have reset the network and restarted the device several times, to no avail. My question now is: is it worth resetting the iPhone to the factory settings and starting all over from a backup? Is the WiFi connection likely to work then? Or is it more likely that the iPhone is somehow defective? Any thoughts? > Did a hard shut down, pressing home and on/off buttons at the same time, still no luck. How do I get my wifi working again? My PC and TV are still working so it's not the cable that's the problem.
