I had a similar situation--iphone had wifi but the ipad did not. I completely shut down the ipad. I then unplugged and replugged my router. Then turned the iPad on. it had wifi that time. I don't know if this will help or not.
I can't turn wifi off... it's already off and I can't turn it on. I will try the restart. I looked at this problem with google and it appears wide spread and maybe a problem with the latest version of software on the ipad. Ron
