I got a routing from both to go from my house to the Safeway. I used
whichever map was built-in under both iOS5 & iOS6 on different devices.
One routed me via a road that has been closed *for months* (redevelopment
project), with an alternative route#2 that goes the long way around a block.
The other knows about the closed road and its route#2 takes the shorter way
around that block. I forget which was which, though! I used whichever map
was built-in under both iOS5 & iOS6. This was maybe a couple of weeks ago,
I haven't checked lately.
I picked an *easy* route that I know well; it involves 2-4 (or 5, that
long-way-round-the-block) turns from right out front, so it's not that
complicated and it's only 1-1/2 miles to boot.

I am curious as to folks current map experiences. I have made a couple of
long trips lately and I have had as many miscues with google Maps as with
Apple maps. I have been using both. Apple maps has a graphical way to choose
between various routes which is easier for me but I think google maps is a
little easier to see.
