If you deleted the apps from your iPad, they're not part of your iCloud backup.

You can go to Settings/iCloud/Storage & Backup/Manage Storage/Your iPad. Turn off apps you don't want to backup.

Is it possible to delete unwanted apps from the Cloud? Some of the apps I downloaded I know longer use or want and they are just taking up space. I'm not really sure if I prefer backing up to my computer vs. Cloud; at least on my computer I can delete unwanted items.
