Re: [iPad] Any Air Parrot users out there?

I just recently upgraded.  First tried a 13" MacBook Air, and then finally ended up with a MacBook Pro w/Retina display.  I did look at the base MBP but didn't like the weight nor the slowness of the 5400 rpm drive.

If you go to a MBP w/retina, you'll most likely have to either host your iTunes library on another machine or use an external drive as the SSD they use are just not big enough unless you want to spend a whole lot of money.  I have a 128Gb version of the MBP w/Retina and my iTunes library is on my TimeCapsule as an external drive.

All that said.

I have Air Parrot both for Windows and OSX, both work just fine although my Windows laptop is a bit hinky with it.  And it doesn't work as well on my windows laptop but that may be because it isn't a very powerful one.

Tks Bob for your help.. I feel that AirParrot may be worth a  look. Payware I think, thats ok.

But, I am still pondering over moving my laptop to an MBP, if so, that is already supoorted on late models with Airplay.  If I do, it is Retina or not? Always pros and cons to mull over.

Some people say the base model rMBP is a bit too laggy. Be sure you check one out carefully, and have some apps running and a browser with multiple tabs to check it out. May be more of a problem if you are into heavy Photoshop or video editing. Doesn't bother me too much.
